I'm looking for a GT for use in some photos of me and my wife on our wedding day in late July. I would very much like to have an example of a GT at my wedding, and would be willing to offer its owner a fair price for giving me that opportunity.
For a bit of background... I grew up working on Mustangs with my father who managed to grab a few Shelbys (before they were worth anything) as well as hold on to his 1969 Mach 1 that he drove to college. I've been around cars my entire life.
I was planning to buy my own GT, but I couldn't talk my fiancee into eloping, but she did agree to let me buy one in the future. (Maybe I should get that in writing - huh?)
As an aside ... In a dream scenario I'd like to drive away from the ceremony in it for a block or two, but being a car nut myself I can definitely see how that is a long shot. I can provide references regarding my ability to exercise self control AND to control a performance vehicle - including certificates from racing school, karting competitions, receipts from Viper rentals, etc. I'm not some crazy kid that will put someone's car at risk. I'm a 33 year old patent attorney at a law firm with offices in Midtown. Like I said... driving it is a pipe dream and I would be happy just to have the car for photos.
My favorite color scheme is a blue car with White stripes, but I would be interested in others as well.
Anyway... thanks for taking the time to read this if you got this far. If it doesn't work out, I guess I'll have to settle for an old Mustang. :biggrin
