want to see some laps times head to head going to drive 720s demo car tomorrow sold my 650s feel the need for speed

My McLaren dealer brought over his 720s demo last Friday. fastest car I have ever driven very impressed over my past 12c and 650s.
I have not driven a GT yet but from what I have been reading the 720s to 100 matches P1 and 918 times which for $280K base price is crazy fast. The orange one was $330K msrp. I usually do bunch of MSO on my macs so sure mine will be over 400K but still cost less then a GT bas price. Since ford denied my app then going sticking with McLaren.
Cant wait to see some lap times of both cars to see who will be track king but McLaren is already working on a LT version of the 720s so GT will have to make some changes if they want to keep up power being one of them.
Would still love to get a gt maybe on the 2nd round when they take apps again but who knows for those lucky enough to get a GT enjoy its truly a one of a kind no matter what the lap times will be.

The car is crazy fast. It's amazing to me that McLaren has only been building these cars for a short time. Ferrari had better watch out.

You know I'm only joking. To be honest I love all these cars. I haven't seen at 720 in person but I hear it's pretty sweet... I've given up years ago going crazy about bench racing numbers.. we now have a Dodge Demon that will outrun anything in a quarter mile..etc..
I don't get whacked out by comparison of numbers. I tell people get what excites you and fun to drive.. we are all very fortunate to have any of these machines so enjoy them and feel blessed

I agree 100% and how funny a demon pulls up to a well anything and kicks its ass and the front tires pull up off the ground that I would love to see

I saw one a couple days ago for the first time. Cool car. The headlight bucket air inlet is a neat element.

I agree as well... and sorry for going a bit off topic... we added a Tesla S P100D with ludicrous mode. I know a lot of people don't like them but, this thing is crazy fast in ludicrous mode. Instant torque that throws you back in your seat.

I wonder how much market share McLaren is taking from Ferrari. McLaren is making great cars and apparently treats its customers well. I'm not a big fan of the 720s styling, but it certainly isn't bland like the prior cars.

The 720S hauls ass but it doesn't move my soul. I just can't warm up to the way it looks. Even if I didn't get a NFGT and wanted a new supercar I would choose a slower Ferrari or Lamborghini that was more pleasing to my eye. A big part of such a car is the satisfaction of viewing the art if the machine every morning before getting into something else to go to work. IMO, the 720S misses the mark both as garage art and Cars & Coffee lust.
