Get off the Street!!

Take it to the track!

"McLaren in wrong shift mode." Boo Hoo! So so sad!

Still hanging in there 10 years later. Yeah, 10 years.

I thought you sold your FGT?

I still like the FGT better even if its slower

Anyone documenting street racing is really crazy!!!

nope, it's a keeper! might sell it for the new one if by some chance I'm able to get one...

That race was won during the shift. Hard to compete with an Egear.

Paddle shift makes all the difference here.

Mclaren's are much faster at speeds...GT has no chance with 700 HP. My modded 991 TTS couldn't catch a 650S at speeds either...

For sure. But makes me wonder if Fikse was driving- he seems to be able to get maximum performance out of all of his cars. He should have been able to shift faster than that. Only 0.1 second difference between published quarter-mile et's of 650s vs Fikse's pullied GT. Fikse, fess up- you were in the McLaren, weren't you? :wink

But seriously, time for a Whipple, and a rematch.

I'm not making excuses for the GT but it's not apples to apples without a clutch.
With a stick I think it would be dead even or the GT a bit faster.
Plus the GT must be heavier.

GT sounded awesome BTW!

What he sez, ten seconds a lap slower round COTA, but ten times more fun

^This. The GTRs are incredibly fast at the dragstrip, but who cares. The person sitting in the left front seat is only steering.

This calls for a re-match in about a year from now...against a Twin Turbo V-6 Ford GT
650S is a great car though, the yellow color is awesome in person.

Exactly!
In a straight line it takes no talent with no clutch.
On a road course the driver is still the main event on any apples to apples comparison but the clutch is stil a huge factor.

Yellow GT also looks pretty good right.....
;-)

I ran 10.2 @ 135 MPH in my McLaren 12C and 10.6 @ 132 MPH in the FGT. I haven't taken the 650S to the track yet, but it's faster than the 12C...

The Ford held on very well when under power vs the 650S...

no comment on who's driving what... :)

previous run with the FGT vs the 12C with the Ford pulling up top...

I have a pulley and tune GT my car is quicker than most with my light weight rotational set up. , I think i would me even with the 650 from a 10 mph roll before it gets spooled up..
