FGT vr F430 F1 et al
I did read somewhere that the 430 tested slightly better in on a skid-pad and breaking, but the difference was very slight. The GT always made it back in the acceleration.
Just see if he wants to race.... put up or shut up. :thumbsup
I agree with the quoted post above.
I own both cars and the FGT is faster but does not handle as well. The Ferrari feels like a race car with AC, & leather ie perfect comfort. The FGT has satisying but relaxing handling. The Ferrari F430 taunts you to drive it faster. The FGT is happy to do what you want.
The ferrari up to 30 mph has explosive acceleration and would probably get a 1/2 length on the FGT. After the 30 mph the FGT would be like a freight train and pass the Ferrari. The F1 transmission makes it easier to accelerate than the 6 speed manual.
I love both cars so I really can not decide which is better. The FGT is a world class supercar of that I am certain. The FGT also has very distintive styling.
I have many cars and my favorite handling car is my Lotus. it has power but not near both of these cars.
I have run Z06's, Turbo Porsche (not 997 yet), Lambo Murc and a 12 cylinder ferrari (585 Ho version) and it wins convincingly. I do not think it will win against a Ferrari 599.
The car that surprises me for handling and performance is the new 2008 base Corvette. I have always said bad things about the car, dead handling, would not own one etc. The new 2008 has been updated with better handling, more power & a better shifter. The one I drove is better than my 996 Porsche CAB and I beleive better than the 911S (997) I just drove. It has become an impressive car. I may end up not buying another Porsche and buy a Corvette and save money as a thank you. Too be honest I am still worried about GM products, bad taste in my mouth, but the new Corvette is impressive!
