Guys - I had not seen this event page yet - but had heard about it from Les.

Les, of Just Cruzin Events, is putting it on. If you don't know his name or company - he has done all of the charity auctions at our GT Rally's every year. And it is his relationship with Carroll Shelby that gets his signatures on the items - for no additional cost.

I can say that Les has been extremely hospitable to several of the GT owners on here. In fact, he brought over several of Camilo's paintings to the Barrett Jackson event in Scottsdale (which he had Carroll sign) so that we didn't have to worry about shipping damage or cost. And it didn't stop there - Les did several things for a small group of us at Barrett this year.

I will do everything in my power to attend; support the event; and meet more of you cool folks - along with hanging with the likes of Les and Camilo.

Barrett-Jackson Ford GT Rally

Just Cruzin’ would like to announce the addition of a new show for 2010. The 1st Annual Ford GT Supercar Meet will take place June 23 - 27, 2010 in conjunction with the Orange County Barrett-Jackson Car Auction. This show will consist of 5 days of rally events for the Ford GT Owners. Barrett Jackson has partnered with us on this event and are very excited. Barrett Jackson is looking forward to having all of you join them at the auction, we're sure they will be treating everyone like a VIP. Each car registration will include admission to the Orange County Barrett-Jackson Auction with 1 ticket per GT registered car, 1 ticket to the Gala Night Event, per GT Registered and finally a special parking area for the Ford GT registered cars and a Ford GT Supercar event Tommy Bahama style shirt. Each registered guest will also receive 1 admission ticket and 1 Gala ticket to the Barrett Jackson auction and an Ford GT Supercar event T-shirt.

We have also planned a track day at the Orange County Race Craft Track in El Toro, CA. This will be a Time Trial Track Competition. Timing for the Track Event will be provided. We will have awards for the top drivers presented at the Awards brunch Sunday at the Hilton Hotel. At the Awards brunch there will also be a free raffle drawing for a trip for two to any Nascar Race in the country, airfare and hotel included. After the brunch our Supercar cruise will start on Pacific Coast Highway and will end up at the Barrett Jackson auction.

We have also planned a great day at Carroll Shelby's Company in the LA area. Carroll is expected to be there and is looking forward to seeing all of you. After the tour we will be having our charity auction to benefit Carroll Shelby's Children's Foundation. Also attending will be Camilo Pardo, the designer of the Ford GT. He will be bringing several pieces of artwork to be auctioned off at Carroll Shelby's.

Ford GT Supercar Meet 2010

Just Cruzin Productions has just secured Dick Guldstrand for the Ford GT Supercar Meet 6/23 - 27, 2010 as a special guest! Dick will be attending all events and participating, even at the timed track runs at the OCRC in El Toro. Carroll Shelby will be joining us on Saturday morning for a Special Tour and Meet & Greet at his Shop in Gardena. Other Special Guest like Camilo Pardo have committed to join us and show our exclusive group his work and participate in the Charity Auction to benefit Carroll Shelby's Children's Foundation! A number of companies heard about the Ford GT Supercar Meet and Charity Auction and have donated great items for the benefit to raise money for such a great cause! Ford GT Supercar Meet 2010

I am excited to announce that Jay Leno and Carroll Shelby have agreed to have a portrait painting of them together this Sunday. Carroll Shelby and I will be meeting Jay Leno at Big Dog Garage Sunday morning. The artist Scott Jacobs is a well known and Award Winning for his photorealistic paintings of cars, bikes and people. Scott Jacobs will have this amazing opportunity to capture a moment in time with both Carroll Shelby and Jay Leno while posing in a Ford GT! This one of a kind painting will be for auction during the Ford GT Supercar Meet at Carroll Shelby's Shop Tour to raise money for the Carroll Shelby Children's Foundation.

Well, we had quite a day Sunday. I picked up Carroll Shelby and his wife, Cleo, from their home and we went to Jay Leno’s “Big Dog Garage” in Burbank. The purpose of this meeting was twofold, one to have Jay interview Carroll for his garage TV show and the other was to have Jay and Carroll pose for an oil painting that will be auctioned off at the Supercar Meet on June 26th at Carroll’s shop.
The painter, Scott Jacobs, is a very well known for his paintings of motorcycles and cars. He has just published a book (“The Art of Scott Jacobs”) of all his paintings. You can check him out at www.scottjacobsstudio.com.
I had asked Scott if he could do a piece for our auction and he agreed. The piece will be Carroll and Jay together with one of their favorite cars. Scott already had a meeting scheduled where Jay was to interview him, so we decided to meet together at Jay’s and include Carroll Shelby. Jay filmed an interview with Scott and one with Carroll for his TV show. Right after that, they posed on Jay’s Ford GT for the oil painting. This oil painting will be a one of one and will be extremely valuable. Of course, Scott will sign it but we will also have Carroll and Jay sign it too.
I talked with Jay about the possibility of him being available to help us auction the painting and he was very excited about helping. If his schedule permits, he will be at the Supercar Meet Auction in Gardena, California, at Carroll Shelby’s shop on June 26, 2010. The proceeds will be donated to the Carroll Shelby Foundation.
Boy, what a day this was. Jay also donated four tickets to his show which will also be auctioned that day.

For those of you that don't know already the Ford GT Supercar Meet will take place June 23 - 27, 2010 in Orange County, CA. This event is in conjunction with the Barrett-Jackson Auction happening that weekend and will allow you vip access to the auction with your registration. The Supercar Meet will include the following activities:

•*Check in with a meet and greet and cocktail hour at the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort in Huntington Beach, CA

• A day at the OCRC El Toro Racetrack for a timed track competition, braking, skid pad and other competitions. Trophies will be awarded. Breakfast and lunch to be served at the track.

Wish I could be there, Les let me know about it, but we'll just be returning from the LeMans race in France back to Ohio. If I were returning home to Arizona, I'd be there! I recently purchased a Lambo Murcielago in Huntington Beach recently and we loved our two day stay there! I recommend it to any one considering a couple night's stay. I may just have to change my plans and go back west for the event!

I'm going to miss the Barrett and GT SuperCar Meet related events also.

I'm taking the Concours d'Elegance Private Collection Tour on that same Saturday, and then exhibiting my Ford GT on Sunday at the Concours itself in Dana Point, next to Dan Gurney's GT, as well as shooting photographs for the Foundation.

I committed before realizing the dates conflict. Have fun!
