Ford GT selection question

Hello friends, I just submitted my app for one of the remaining 350 Ford GT's. I own a 2005 Ford GT (plus a 2005 T-Bird if that matters) and my question is as follows: Is anyone aware of an '05 or '06 GT owner who previously submitted an application for one of the first 1000 cars to be built who was not approved to purchase one of them. I understand that 70% of the prior allotment went to current '05 and '06 owners and I am now wondering if there were any '05/0'6 owners who applied but were not selected. I apologize if this question might have been answered previously. Thanks, Jay Peterson
 
There is actually 600 cars for this next allocation. 250 from the first 1000 and then there were an additional 350 added. From visiting with a number of Forum members there are a number of 05-06 owners that were not selected. Also here’s some numbers for you. 69% of the 750 were allocated to original owners. That’s just over 500 cars. So with just over 4300 in 05-06 cars produced there’s quite a few that weren’t selected+

A ton of '05-'06 GT owners weren't selected. I'd guess that 1500 GT owners applied and about 1/3 of them got a car.

Original ownership didn't seem to play a role. When I was watching application videos today I was shocked at how many there were.

Hmmm … some quick creative math:

1500 owners - 500 already got allcocation = 1000 left

Let's say 60% are active forum members : 1000 x .6 = 600 !

Just right, works out perfectly !
 
Ford is looking for ambassadors, not just owners. Many current owners did not receive an allocation. Owning an 05/06 didn't hurt but was not in any way a guaranteed allocation.

With the high percentage of original owners getting an allocation, the only conclusion is that original ownership played a big role, it just wasn't the only factor considered.
