My daily OR attire includes a "helmet" to which my "space suit" is attached. The helmet has an electric ventilation fan on top. The setup provides for a sterile environment and protection when performing a hip or knee replacement. Standard stuff in my profession... except I'm probably the only Ortho surgeon with a FGT themed helmet. This one was painted up for me almost 10 years ago. Some wear and tear, with as many miles as my car. :thumbsup

You are certifiable! Love it.

C'mon, don't believe this BS. They're to keep HIS bugs in, not keep other bugs out. April fools.

:lol That's great!

Car issues!
I think they have doctors for that !

Very funny.

You must be replacing a rear end or universal joint. Hope your patients are out before they come to the room!

Now that there is FGT dedication!!!

Like the Ford Blue scrubs

Why do you wear a mask under the helmet? One of the great benefits of wearing a space suit! That and the nice cool breeze to prevent intra op swampass.

Brilliant.

If I ever need hip or knee surgery I know where to go !

I'm glad my knees are ok! Super outfit, must get some interesting comments from others in the room!

Just had my ankle replaced. Virtually positive the Dr wore nothing like this.

Cool helmet.

Last I heard there was a split on whether they reduced the risk of infection to the patient. Some doctors wear them to protect themselves because of the use of bone saws, etc. It's not unusual for the surgeon to wear one, but not the staff.

Very cool OR attire!!!

Boy, there a quite a few of you orthopods with GT's!!!!

Yes, perhaps you should speak with eshrink. I'm sure he'd be happy to help with this and any other issues (like missing parts of your car).

Very nice.

I've got this thing with my shoulder.. oh nvm.

Got an extra diffuser?

The kid that works at the restaurant I go to could use that as she sneezes on the salad bar all the time!

Cool set up AJ!
