OK, on the Goodyear F1 tires. The GT500 and Shelby GT came with a note that discouraged driving below, I think 52*F (i recall that number because it wasn't rounded or anything). I looked at my Ford GT book and was surprised this warning wasn't in our books... I had the equivalent on my Shelby CSX Cobra (original "factory" tires) Both my Shelby GT and Cobra sucked in colder temps (say below 60) on colder pavement - this is what you get when you drive your car out of the garage to the street after a cool fall or spring morning. Yes, they had the grip of a hockey puck on ice. THat is, none.
To DBK's 2014 GT500 observation: These are second generation F1 tires, and everyone says they are very good compared to the originals, maybe even better than our beloved Bridgestones. But they don't make them in our sizes.
