What's the chance of a GT parade down the strip ?

Good thought. Barrett Jackson has one for the auction. They close the strip south bound to traffic for about 20 minutes. Cops at every intersection to stop cross traffic at all the streets and a rolling escort down the street. I can't imagine the cost.

It is a really awesome drive. People on all the bridges and folks actually run out from the sidewalks to take pictures. Someone ran in front of me in my Cobra to get a picture, I had to stop and a cop came by behind me and pushed the spectators back off the median. It was really kind of a rush. I did it twice (once in my Mustang, once in the Cobra) Luck permitting, in the GT this fall !!!!

:biggrin ... actually it is quite the opposite way around ..... I had unlimited Makers Mark & icecubes in my room - which attracted a rather large group of prominent FGT Forum members - probably more than the room was approved for :biggrin:rofl - and between the many toasts for Bony .... it was quite a party :wink:biggrin:lol:facepalm:

Tony, in the past people have stayed across the street at other hotels, camped out at the track, etc.

They were still able to attend functions at the host hotel if they were registered for the rally.

I don't think it would be an issue.

I'm betting this happens often, which is why I mentioned I have a chauffeur that will be sure I'm safe

Now here's another. Can I leave the GT in the secure hotel parking area and still take the trip out to the track with the pack ? I mean, the boss will collect me from the hotel, and probably even bring me back

In my limited experience of 2 Rallys I found that everything always has a way of working out. Lots of accommodating folks.
