Dr. Frank is from the red, hot, heart of America where Anheuser-Busch rules. I don't want no California cool-aid.

Dave has his hands full with Putting things together for this years Rally, I don't think he's got much time for next year at this time. Just come to this years Rally, you won't regret it.

Most likely late summer to early fall. But that could change.

Car Wash in Sonoma was brought up in another thread, I just wanted to update whoever is interested?

While on the topic of transport/ancillary services, does anyone know of a good handwash place in the area? Some of us will be driving 3-500 miles and more just to get to the Rally. Cars will be looking a bit worse for wear at that point. Call my crazy, but I'm not taking the car through the Chevron drive thru car wash.

There are some full service car washes, however I do not know of one that is completely hand wash. I will do a little research and let everyone know what I find.

There is a local mobile auto detailer who is available for those interested. Complete hand wash at the Fairmont or somewhere else. The detailer is Andrew Luzaich and his contact info is quickcarwash@gmail.com, 707.836.3040
His website is finaltouchautomotivedetailing.com

I spoke with him tonight and did mention a rebate from his normal prices if he knows exact number of cars to be washed.

I believe when Dave negociated the Sonoma hotel contract, an owner wash area was part of the contract for those owners who are so inclined.
This is similar to what we have had extended to us by hotels of previous rallys.
But I would ask DBK to confirm this aspect of the contract.

Thanks for looking into this. Going to do a little snooping on the detailing forums to see his reputation:)

As in breaking out a bucket and washing ourselves? Ordinarily I'd prefer to wash my own car but without my own supplies (yes, I'm anal like that), I don't know. And I'm certainly not bringing my own stuff . Real estate in the car will be tight enough!

You'd be surprised what you can fit in the GT if you really get creative, and make sure the wife uses a duffel bag and the space behind her seat for hanging clothes and NOTHING ELSE!

I brought extra car cover bags from Torrie. I use the 4 bags one in the trunk, one behind each seat and another one in the passenger footwell.I must say I like the hanging idea too!

Both Ron & Jeff have gobs of room behind their driver's seats, enough for a complete rolling suitcase. Of course they have to use a restaurant booster seat to see over the steering wheel.

For the rest of us, if you can get a laptop computer behind the driver, it means you're probably 5'7" or greater.

:lol

How true it is...except for the booster. I use comfy pillow. Comes in handy when I stop and take my afternoon nap.

I don't feel too bad that most of you have the macintosh radio, the optional spider web wheels and have never used the sun visors. (Lousy by the way)

Are you planning on having the washed when you first get there, middle of the stay, or towards the end. I'm having mine shipped so should be clean when it gets there. If washing them before we leave, I'd be interested in getting it cleaned before putting it back on the carrier before heading home.

Yeah, I know I'm a wimp 'cause I won't be driving it from WI and back. I actually have a good reason, but Dr. Frankie would just give me a bunch of crap, so I won't even try to justify my wimpyness!
