All those dealers lie when they tell you they are getting those premiums over window for cars, you don't think people go on ebay and other sites to see what the market is bearing? Dealers in northern Va where I live are discounting them and I bought mine in a Pa a couple of months ago for 13,500 off window sticker. High end cars are soft now like most big ticket items and if anyone is really paying over sticker which I doubt its because they have so much money they just don't care and want the car. GT's are no different and prices will continue to fall just like they have on every so called collector car ever made, especially when the price of entry is over 150k!

I got this Info from a friend of mine who is the F&I Manager who had the Customer sign the paperwork not from some Bullshitter. Its a fact the car sold for $25K over MSRP.

Wow. That guy must have been in a real hurry. It's not hard to find an 06 for way under MSRP, as long as you don't mind the McIntosh and BBS's....

Like I said every now and then someone who doesn't care about price ponies up, but most salesman, not all, but most are full of sh** and tell everyone that they just sold the last one for 200k but they could probably hook you up at 175k on this one they have now. Most people will shop for the best deal out there. And if anyone thinks the prices are going up, just go on ebay or autotrader.com and make some offers like I did and I think you will be amazed at the discounts they are offering these cars for.

Over the years, sadly it has become very obvious that lying while selling to the plublic not only is commonplace but seems to now be excepted by both parties. Now when I catch someone lying they no longer get embarrassed but seem to think its part of game.
To find an truly honest car, real estate, attorney etc. id quite a treat.

For the most part I agree with you however once in a while you run into extremely honest strait forward dealer. Bill Jarrett owner of several Central Fla. Dealeships is one such individual. I have purchased all of my company vehicles for over twenty years from him and have always been treated fairly. He treats all customers the same fleet purchases as well as one offs. My GT came from them and it was $10,000.00 off of list. He passed up a sale for more becaue he appreciated my past business and knew I wanted a car. I stronly recommend the Jarrett Automotive Group for any Ford purchase.

Paid 200K last August

Paid 50K over MSRP and I couldn't be happier. Don't misunderstand. I don't go around wasting money but I love my yellow beauty so much nothing could wipe the smile off my face. :thumbsup

There's a brand new 05 on cars.com being offered at 138,000 (OBO) so I think Courtesy Ford needs to stop smoking that stuff....>>>>>

On the Cars.com ad, Nikki the dealer says to send her an email asking why the car is being sold for so much less than other GTs......she goes on to say it hasn't been in an accident....

maybe the $138 K price is the price after putting a $25 K down payment on the car :ack or some such nonsense.

Anyone else think that the days of "below MSRP" for a new GT will soon be over now that the run is ending?

If it seems to good to be true.....
Below is the response I received back on my inquiry about the 138k GT.

"Hello A.J, Thank you for your interest of 2005 Ford GT brand new still on MSO. Please let me clear something out first, I just help private seller to list their car online. Car imported directly from U.S Ford dealer as a collection. Owner decided to sell due to the financial problems and car is located Hong Kong at the moment. For this reason our actual selling price is lower than U.S market. I reserve the right to sell the car to any protential buyers online without notice. I will provide detailed information about the car for serious online buyer to prove that we are serious seller not only instrument. Regards, Nikki"

I do believe the saying my grandfather use to use is this ..... "There's an ass for every seat" And the one I like to use is... "A deal is as good as one thinks it is" I don't think I need to explain... Everyone here seems somewhat .......... Well you know... OK.... maybe I'll explain.... Let me say this, the people paying over sticker do not always have the money to spend and it doesn't mean they didn't do their research.. It means the research they did led them to the conclusion that the price they paid was a good deal..Fair??? Can we all be friends now :rofl

Here's a window sticker I saw two weeks ago on a new 2006 model. However, to be fair to this dealer, I was at their dealership picking up mine which I paid MSRP. They had 9 GT's on their showroom floor. Lonestar Ford in Houston.

Jamie: Your right on target. Dealers count on buyers being uninformed, emotional, impulsive, and sometimes just plain dumb. The buyers paying over sticker right now proves it.

This car is in Hong Kong, Why don't you wire the money to Hong Kong and see what happens. With production ending the new ones will go up.

When I picked up my car, many moons ago, it had a price well over $300,000 right on the window. I paid under $200,000 for it.
