Done.

Gentlemen,

There is no other street legal Automobile Club/Forum/Organization in the world with a list even remotely like this. Even today, most of the big money super cars will not reach 200 MPH under any conditions even with an unlimited run. The Ford GT Forum now has 42 Members who have driven their own cars 200+ miles per hour. That is truly amazing. When Ford conducted their Nardo, Italy top speed testing I am certain they did not think that a large number of their customers would blow away their speeds and do it on a relatively short airport runway!!

42 members have driven 200+ MPH
19 members have exceeded 200 MPH in the standing mile.
10 members have exceeded 220 MPH in the standing mile.
2 members have exceeded 230 MPH in the standing mile.
And 1 member (Ray Hofman) has exceeded 265 MPH in the standing mile. :thumbsup

Our membership is unquestionably the fastest on the planet. Pretty cool. :cheers

^^^^ - i bet rays car could hit 300 mph at the Mojave 1.75 mile extended run with the 2000 rwhp that it has :eek

at ~ 7,250 rpm's in 6th gear the car has the gearing to do it with the stock gear ratio and tire heights :thumbsup

if i were him i would get the same tires that are on the Veyron in a custom size built to fit a GT and go for it....

well Dave i finally joined the 200 mph club :thumbsup looks like the 210.2 mph run that i did on the 1.5 mile course would put me at #22 on the list :cool the only mod that i have that is worth noting is my 3.4L Whipple supercharger....

Saturdays run was 1.3 miles and Sundays was 1.5 miles. the DA on Saturdays run was 5000 feet above sea level. remember Saturday was a couple of degrees hotter than Sunday. also my run on Sunday was 1 hour earlier in the morning too....

with the DA you guys had at last years event these speeds would have been ~ 5 mph faster and they would correct to ~ 10 mph faster at sea level....

Just for giggles, what are the ages of the "older crowd" of the 200mph club?

I'm trying to get signed up now for the Texas Mile this March, my first attempt, and I'm 61.

Whipple and 3.90 gears

I probably wouldn't be considered as belonging to the "older crowd" because I was only 72 when I qualified.

The April race at Mojave hosted by MKM Racing Promotions got cancelled this year because the Airport is doing work on the runway and taxiway to make it better than it already is, lol. anyway, they plan on combining the April race with the October race which means the Mojave mile and the Mojave Magnum 1.5 mile race will be run simultaneously in the same weekend. this will not cause a situation where you will get less runs per day because every run you make will give you a speed at the 1 mile mark and the 1.5 mile mark. last year the Magnum 1.5 mile race was run in June which was very hot and resulted in a very HIGH DA. although we did have a 20 mph tailwind. the October race will have a lower DA, so....

i am modding my GT from it's current 751 rwhp to 800+ rwhp and will be at the October race. anybody who is racing their GT at this event is welcome to pit next to me....:cheers

here is a vid of me racing my GT at the FordGTForum Speed Day last year > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYmDcTzLOX0

Have not done a mile event since the Rally in Austin.
