Do these replace the rubber mats or go over them?

I had the same question if they go over the rubber mats or if they replace the original mats.
 
They replace the original ones. The old one's come right out. If they have been exposed to heat for a long time, the glue in some mats has seeped out and the mats have to be pulled out, and the glue goo needs to be cleaned out with paint thinner from the floor pan. Whatever they used to make the mats has deteriorated. Good to take them out and clean them up. However once the original mats get worn out, they are an eyesore. These replacement mats fill the void and are much easier to clean. Vacuum! And they can be customized as well to the cars color combination. PM me for more info or examples.

I bought a set, they fit perfect and are much thinner than the rubber originals. A good looking and functional upgrade and you can put the originals up.
 
I put these in once I got my car, and put my rubber mats in the box. Very nice.
 
How much sound deadening do you loose making the swap? :confused
 
Not too much, but you can hear the odd rock/pebble impact under your feet.

I could not notice a difference when I made the swap. Very happy with these and like preserving the oem mats from my grubby shoes.
 
I've sold a lot of these mats over the years, without any issues whatsoever :thumbsup

FYI the above set has been sold, but I do have 3 sets of blanks left that I will honor the price for the rest of the weekend! PM or email for info.
