Photos of original 1966 GT40 Mk I Race Coupe #P1040. 1040 was the principal team car for Scuderia Filipinetti in 1966.

1st pic = 1966 Monza; 1040 finished 3rd OA, 2nd in Class.

2nd pic = 1966 Le Mans; shot shows 1040 trailed by eventual race winner Mk II GT40 #1046.

3rd pic = 1966 Le Mans; my favorite shot of the old warrior, blasting down the Mulsanne.

4th pic = 1966 Le Mans; 1040's race ends after 17 hours, in 5th place OA at the time.

5th pic = 1967 Monza.

Joey, GREAT that you are doing this! Carlisle is on my bucket list, and I might as well go in style with the GT. I will try and work the dates into the summer schedule (along with Lime Rock, and maybe THe Barn). Keep us posted.

I am right off of Rte. 78 in NJ, about 10 miles from the PA border. Should be on the way for some of you guys. Maybe we could caravan?
