For those who own 4 post lifts

Does anyone have this type of jacking system? I am looking for the pro's and con's as I know our GT's are very low so I don't want to purchase this jack and find out it is useless.

I dont have a 4 post lift so i shouldn't even make a comment however it looks like the way that handle is positioned on the jack that if the lift were in it's lowest position and the car above it ready to be lifted that you would not be able to swing the handle on the jack?

Perhaps you could reposition the handle so it would swing horizontally instead of vertically.

Now i want a 4 post lift even more after thinking about how handy that combination would be.

My guess is many of us have compressed air available in the garage. I wonder how hard it would be to have the hydraulics operate with compressed air. It would be really cool to hook up an air hose and operate the lift with a lever.

Just a thought.

I have that exact bridge jack and love it. They also sell a unit with an air over hydraulic pump.

I much prefer a rolling bridge jack over the sliding one shown. Air over hydraulic is also nice.

I have two of the jacks on on my lifts (2 lifts - two jacks per lift) they work great.

I just ordered two lifts as well as the Pro Jack 3500 and I have got to tell you it was a pleasure working with Grant from Greg Smith sales. I did ask about a group buy and he said these jacks are priced very aggressively but if you wanted to get a air over hydraulics kit he would do those for $29 less so for everything it would be $695 plus shipping. Keep in mind that this kit will need some personal modifications for mounting but for most it shouldn't be a big deal at all but I would advise talking with Grant for instructions on adding this kit. Grant did tell me that the hundreds of Pro jacks sold that no one has ever complained about using the manual hydraulics so that is how I will go for now and if I change my mind an order for the kit will happen then. Here is the name and number to get with Grant if anyone would like to upgrade there lift or purchase a lift. Thanks again for the feedback:thumbsup

Rolling Jack Won't Roll On a Bend Pak Lift

I purchased one of these rolling jacks from Greg Smith in Arizona. Any business I can give Arizona, I will.

Anyway, I have the Bend Pak HD9 four post lift. This lift came with a very rough surface on the ramps. Probably for extra traction. This rolling jack uses some teflon pads that support this jack and are supposed to allow the rolling jack to roll. Because of the rough surface, the jack doesn't move, let alone roll. My solution was to cut off the angle iron that contained the teflon pads, drill two half inch holes in the piece of the angle iron that was left, and attach two 4 1/2 wheels to each side of the rolling jack. For wheels I used some v belt pulleys that I had here. When I get time I will cut some solid wheels on my lathe. These wheels run in a channel attached to the inside of the ramps on the Bend Pak. The top of the jack is only about 2 inches higher than the ramps so that even my lowered GT fits with no problem.

Rolling jacks do work on the Bend Pak. I think we are talking about two different jacks. A rolling jack is just that, it rolls on wheels. A sliding jack as the name implies slides on pads.
I have two rolling jacks on my Bend Pak that work great. The rollers fit in the channel iron thats welded on the inside of the lift ramps.
I believe you are speaking of the pos sliding (teflon pad) jacks that are being sold now in place of the rolling ones previously sold. The sliding jack that I do have also fits in the channel iron inside the ramps with no modification.

No as I am answering for sandman; the channel was welded in place as part of the lift's design as were mine.
