Same scene diffrent time and place

--last evening my cousin and I were checking into a hotel. Parked the GT under the entrance portico. Came out and the was a Dad and his two young teenage daughters standing by their car. The Dad nicely asked if his girls could take a picture of the GT. And I said why of course, take as many as you want. And don't worry the dirt on the car will not show up in the photos.

The two girls each had a camera. And as they tried to frame the perfect photo, I said it would be a much better photo if one of you got into the car and the other took the picture.

From the shocked look on their faces they didn't know what to say or do...so the just stood there. Finally I said to their father, please let then know that it was ok to sit behind the wheel and take some pictures.

Photos were taken with both girls behind the wheel and the I took pictures of them with their cameras.

They were from a pretty small town according to their Dad, he was sure that his girls would make the most out of the pictures with all the boys when school starts in a few weeks.

How cool is that!

Went out for breakfast this morning with my bro and his family. I had him take one of his daughters and drive the GT and followed in his Lexus. It is thoroughly enjoyable watching your GT cruising down the street :) I hope this never wears off. He loved the car. Was amazed what an easy driver and how well the clutch and gearbox worked. He's driven the Nascar experience deal and went pretty fast on an oval in Vegas and was in love with the GT and how well they drive. What a spectacular ride. Sorry for the new owner drool thread :) I love this car.

Good stuff

Thank you for sharing your excitement

Photos of that type make an impression REGARDLESS of the girl's/guy's ages!

My 1st born had just rec'd a couple pics of my GT in the mail and had left them them on her kitchen desk (with a couple of bills and whatever else had come in the mail).
When her boyfriend (at the TIME) arrived to take her out that evening, they went into in the kitchen for a bit to grab stuff outta the fridge to take with them, and from 8 feet away her boyfriend spotted 1/3rd of one of the pics sticking out from under the rest of the mail. He said, "WHOA!!! WHO'S car is THIS???!", followed by, "Tell your dad I AM available for immediate adoption."

Did I mention he >WAS< her boyfriend? :lol

WAS?? May we assume that he's her husband now?? And here I thought it was usually the women that were tire biters!! :wink

So, Jason came into town this weekend. You remember him, Speed Demon Jay. Anyway, he's got a tungsten that arrived to his house in the dead of winter. Given that it's winter, he started taking things apart.......and well, he got carried away..........

His total miles on his GT (or in any GT) were off the transporter and into his garage. It's a gorgeous day when he comes in to town so we're off for a good 90 minute drive. That was fun. Then after dinner, I called up two of my GT buds, and we got him to go for another drive WITH the two other cars. Blew his mind with just being the passenger in one, but then to actually be able to SEE AND HEAR two others on the road, well, I think we've given him the impetus to stop taking things off and start to put his car back together again!!! :thumbsup

Sure hope so!!! :banana

Pulled in to Starbucks one sat. morning just so I would have a place to drive it. As I got out I noticed some really hard core skateboarders checking the GT out. As I walk back out (again surprised I didn't even get a cup holder for 150K:lol:lol) one of the most grungy ones walks toward me. He ask if he can shake my hand. I agree and he says he just wants to be able to say that he has shaken the hand of a 2005 Ford GT owner!! Knew his cars! I look him straight in the eye and say "You can get one too" He asks how. I say Finish school, go to college and work hard. He laughs and I could see in his eyes!

Hummmmm Maybe!!

Larry

ps-Nice looking lady in a beautiful Mustang GT rolls her window down at a redlight and says she loves the GT. I laugh and say It's sort of the big brother to her car on "STEROIDS" We both laugh!
