It appears to be a 2005 Silver... Is this the first stolen GT?

http://autosource.biz/

Nope. I know of an '05 black/silver which was stolen several years ago from an owner in my neighborhood. It happens.....

How easy/difficult is the theft of the GT ?

how do we know if it was a acttual teft or ij?

The theft to which I referred was in fact a theft.

Owner has multiple residences in US and was not in town at the time. GT was in the garage (he owned many exotics) and thieves burgled the house and found the keys.
The police found the car a few days later in a nearby garage.
A little difficult to drive a GT around inconspicuously, especially if it is stolen.

Indy, the Gt is impossible to drive inconspicuously regardless of whether it's stolen or not. Someone is always looking at the car and driver as well.

Forum justice is deterrent

Other car forums have tracked down perps with harshness

Here's another one - and the listing is wrong as well, indicating only mile, when in fact the history reports indicates way more than that...

I believe the 1st old was stolen off of a dealer's lot, driven a short distance and crashed!

A red one if I remember correctly.

yep - Southern Ca late 05/ early 06 was the time if I remember right......... Also around the same time wasn't one that also burned up in the dealer when a ticked off buyer crashed the showroom with the new SUV he was ticked off about and caught the dealership on fire?

Which is why many exotics that get jacked go straight to a container ship for use in China, Russia, etc.

I know of several that have been stolen. There was one stolen new of the dealer floor at Phil Waterfords Manteca Ford back when these cars just came out.

I am a little confused the GT that FBA linked on e*bay, isn't that the one that just got purchashed by a new forum member? And if you look at the pictures the first several ones the GT has the stock supercharger and the last few of the engine bay has a twin turbo set up along with a cracked front bumper! That lambo dealer is local to me I should swing by for a closer look...

The first 20 or so pics are of a different car.... a 2006 they recently had. The car was offered to me before they bought it, but I passed on it because of the busted front bumper. Cant believe they put pics on the net with the busted front bumper. Anyway, the last pics I assume are of the actual turbo car they are selling now. Not sure why they used pics of the 2006 in the first 20 or so photos. maybe the car looks really bad or something..... ??? The autocheck is terrible. Car has been to several different auctions, like 8 different states, stolen and recovered and who knows what stuff DOESNT show up on the autocheck.....

"It is powered by a reliable Ford V8 that has been custom TWIN TURBO-CHARGED to screaming horsepower, torque and top speed of 267mph! With the Heffner Twin Turbo kit, this is not just one of the fastest Ford GTs, but it is faster than a Bugatti Veyron, and one of the fastest cars in the world. It is a patriotic color combination in pure white with blue racing stripes"

Looks like it has a total Accufab build plus the TT.

Didn't someone else in Florida make a car like that. We just need some well armed "security people" and that is a million dollar car.

Steve

That same dealer has another car for sale now...using the exact same pics as the stolen/recovered one...and same thing for the one the one being sold at Lambo Houston...

Can't trust much on the web --

Shelby I believe the car you were offered was at the Potamkin auto gallery before Prestige sold it. Both dealers are down the street from each other.

I stole my first FGT in October 2005. It was listed for 295,000 and I paid msrp. At the time, there were virtually no arms lenght transactions for msrp. Sometimes it's good to be a thief!
