Gordo, I want in on the transportation party as well. Transport cost looks pretty formidable for a 1 day track event. Perhaps attend for the camaraderie....(and wife Las Vegas shopping).

Final arangements being made
I should be getting all the final group rate quotes from the hotels this week. Also AZSTAD assisted me to set up a web-site so everyone can register, pay, get all the maps, agendas, and information packets online. As soon as all these pieces are "live", I will post a new thread so everyone can use the great communications tools and take advantage of the negotiated hotel rates for our group. We expect about 30 cars at the track!:banana

I am currently in Florida at Jason Heffner's shop getting my GT ready for the 1st Annual Tim Track Day. (TTD) It sounds like a splendid few days for GT owners and the girls as well. Really looking forward to it!

Hotel should be settled soon
I have a master list of everyone who is attending, just added fjpkul and IndyGT, who unfortunately can't bring their cars, but it's more important that THEY are there! I'll be posting final hotel info, and registration info soon!

I have confirmed the 2.7mile configuration for the event, which is the high-speed outer loop, and the best configuration to run for the high-hp cars.
I don't know what the FGT count is up to....but I have at least 25 rsvps from my customers and track members. Also, The Smoking Tire with host Matt Farah will be coming out to do video coverage. It is going to be a great event!

What top speed could our cars reach in this configuration? Say one with a tune and a pulley?

Actually....we're going to find out. There are 3 different straights that, depending on power, driving ability, and balls, one can reach in excess of 130mph (a couple of the Radicals I believe have hit 160+)
So....me and one of the TV producers decided that at the end of one of the straights, we're going to have a video camera and a radar gun, and do a top-speed competition. (you guys will have some competition as there will be a couple tuned Vipers and some tuned GTR's there, and maybe a couple very fast Porsches). Winner gets.....something. If you spin/go off you lose.... in more way than one
Objective is to keep it safe....but have some friendly competition along the way!

Event Update
We have wrapped up the hotel negotiations (Thanks to AZSTAD!). The Palm Place Condo Spa will be the event host hotel with awesom rooms, secure,covered parking with elevator access. I also wrapped up the dining arrangements as well. I will be posting details as soon as I get the group reservation number assigned.

I'm really bummed I missed this.....my home track and all. hope you all had a good time. Hopefully next year I can do it!
