Your mystery hose looks like the washer fluid hose to the drivers side wiper but that's so obvious I'm sure you would have thought of it.

Did you figure out what it was?

Mark I am glad you can now apreciate what it takes to get the inner fender splash sheilds out. I tell owners all the time when doing work around the fenders that the hardest part of the job is going to be the splash sheilds and they laugh like I'm kidding. Almost like the car was built around them. Good work!

This is definitely within the realm of projects I would be willing to tackle (gulp!). However, my initial though was ..... "cajonnes grande".

That is not ducting, it is just the end of the front bumper.

Wow! You car is so clean. It's like it never gets driven! :biggrin :lol

Have any of you pulled the panel off the front right side of the car? I think I may have a vacuum leak in the fuel filler neck and the thought of my dealer removing large painted parts off my car makes me nervous. Is it a big deal or am I just overly worried?

AWESOME

It is very nice of you to post the pictures and share your experience

All the best

Shadowman

Mark O,
Are You Available To Come Over And Align My Clamshell Come Spring Time ?
Or I Come To You !

Cool thread Mark O,

thanks for sharing the pics!!

Cool thread Mark O,

thanks for sharing the pics!!

Yes, agreed - truly inspirational. Feel like prepping for the "future" filler leak :rofl

It's just amazing how really simple these cars are to work on once you get over the fear of turning a wrench on her :eek

Mark O, will you modify the fender liner to the Shadowman's style?

cool photos

Love the signature & writing. Hand built with pride!

Anything looks good in pictures. :wink

But hey, at least my battery's not going dead (from lack of use) like some unnamed Big GT & Viper owner from the Big state of Texas. :lol

Would you like to compare Odometers? :devil

And my miles aren't useless highway miles at 55 mph, like a couple of other Texans who will remain nameless, who have chastised me for not puttering down the highway picking up stone chips like them, so teenagers can snap cellphone pics of their car and they can feel desireable again for a moment! (When it's really the car, of course) :willy :lol

At least my miles are like my life: Hard and Fast...

J/K you-know-who...

:lol That's more like it!

Great pictures by the way. Hats off to you for tearing into it! I had to have two techs from the Ford house help me when I changed the exhaust, and I was still worried. Helps that you're mechanically inclined; me not so much but I like to try. You might be interested that the Ford tech had a tool that removed the push fasteners without damaging them for reuse.

I remember during the Detroit Rally at Saleen, the girls from the line were crawling all over our cars, swapping out panels and shimming up rattles. Made it obvious these cars are pretty modular and easy to work on. Still I lack the confidence.

I'm curious about your oil pressure sending unit. What symptoms was it exhibiting? Mine has occasionally gone down to zero at idle, prompting the scary check gauges light, but there was no audible evidence of decreased oiling. It happens very infrequently, but I suspect I need a new sending unit as well...
