Most critical turn on the circuit IMO is the last turn onto the main straight. Done incorrectly, it kills an entire (last lap) time. But when you do it correctly, you sure feel/know it!

Jesus. That was no good. 67 remains star crossed.

Fuel spilled out during pit stop, caught fire right as Priaulx got in the car. Big flames. Luckily they were right there to put it out but a shame because the car was running well.

It's up to the 66. Neel Jani in the Porsche LMP1 lost control fighting against an Audi and clipped the front end of the 66 while Stefan Mücke was in. Knocked one of the dive planes off, so not sure how that's impacting the car's performance right now. Running in P3.

Aston #95 comically running away from the remainder of the GTE field.

Wow, Pit Fire, overspill refilling. Driver out of #67, OK. Car taken to garage. Looked like overflow cutoff valve malfunctioning.

And now it appears a Porsche was on fire in the pits.

Rex, this is generally true at any track. The more speed you can carry onto the longest straight at a given track leads to the lowest track time (and highest speed at the end of the straight).

Thus the most critical turn on a track is the one leading to the straight away.:biggrin Just ask Andy (or Rocketman)....

Pretty good race so far. 66 Ford GT is on a different fuel strategy and is trying to finish on 1 fewer stop than everyone else. Currently P5, but Oli Pla is all over Darren Turner in the Aston Martin.
