What a week ! After a great couple of free practice sessions....heading the timing boards on both, to then have the terrible accident in qualifying with Natacha suffering a double compound fracture in her right tibia. The No. 6 car is written off, but Natacha is already on the mend. After surgery last night, she's already walking, and making jokes, and generally itching to get out and about. Building a new car has already begun.

As for tonight's race...stunning performance from the team. The car, crew, and driver pairing were peerless tonight. Totally controlled the race from start to finish, pushing when required, steady pace when far enough ahead.

A great reward to the team, who have designed, built, prepared and nurtured the car to be worthy of all our drivers.

From the best team, with the best drivers, and with the most beautiful car in the GT1 World Championship....thank you for all your support and kind words.

See you all very soon.

In the meantime, check out a few updated pictures and press release on the website:

Perhaps he could wear a skirt.

Grosjean is BLISTERING!

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. A new driver will be needed for Le Mans now. How about this young man!!! If women drivers are essential, how about Grosjean in drag? Grosjean was in a class by himself and had never driven the GT1 FGT before?!?! What an amazing talent! :cheers

I saw that Bloomberg Television will be broadcasting all GT1 races this year. Does anyone know if we will get these in the US?

Thanks

Good find and follow up on those GT1TV repeats Blue Moose. I tried the Bloomberg channel and it was not on, but must be somewhere in the Bloomberg Airways, if anybody finds out let us know. The feed I got from GT1TV was very good.

It was on Bloomberg but started maybe 10 min later than the 830am time posted. Also, it was shown as a 30 min program on the calendar and therefore that is all my dvr recorded. And that got me about 15min into the race before it cut off. Next time I'll tape the following hour of whatever is listed along with it. Or perhaps they'll do better on subsequent broadcasts. That said, the quality of the video on the web was outstanding and is good enough for me.

OK. I will give that a try next time. I know that early time is rough on you West coast guys. Not too bad for us "old" East coasters. Didn't know if DBK was up early or just hadn't gone to bed yet. Watching sportscars and drinking coffee in the morning might my new thing. Forty years ago it was beer in the afternoon at the track. I love the FIA GT1 format. Now if they don’t play “Lets have fun with the rule book” before Le Mans, Matech has a good shot.
