Just doesn't have the same ring as "Made in Detriot". Made in Wixom? Nah. The phrase is actually to bring attention to the fact that the FGT is one supercar not made in Maranello or Stuttgart.

PS DBK & the Michigan gang will tell you that Troy & Wixom are in the Metro Detroit area so the phrase "Made in Detroit" is actually accurate.

But the motor is built in Romeo . . .

Romeo is 30 miles away & close enough to count as "Made in Detroit". Even though the sticker is on the coil cover it's not meant to convey that the engine is Made in Detroit; but, that the GT is from America's car heaven/birth place.

It's all Detroit. Detroit used to be the third largest city in the U.S, but as the plants sprawled out, they took the populations with them, and now it's this big amorphous blob of little cities. Detroit proper has a population of around 900,000. "Metro-Detroit" is 5-6 times that.

Dearborn is pretty close to Detroit, but Troy is about 24 miles away and in Oakland county, vs Detroit in Wayne county. Wixom is even further away.

I live in Oakland county but I can be in the city of Detroit in 5 minutes. Ask someone that lives here what city 7 mile and Woodward is, or more importantly, if they'd walk there. Trust me, it doesn't matter what it says on the map, it's Detroit.

No matter how you look at it the phrase, "Made in Detroit", it is accurate for our GTs. I'll have a sticker made that says "Made In Various Cities in the Metro Detroit Area" for all of you that can't live with the cool one I made.
