What will our GT's be worth in 2047? Of course, no one knows, but check out ebay auction # 320116881245 for a pristine 50k miles Shelby Mustang GT500. It just sold for $175,000.

I'm sure we (or our estates) would gladly take that same percentage increase on our cars. I believe that would be about $3 million.

FGT value in 40 years.

I'll do you a favor and take your GT off your hands today for free so you don't have to deal with it on your last day. :wink :biggrin

I'll be 88 and bragging to the candy strippers in the nursing home. Ah--a life well lived.:wink

I am leaving mine to Charlie, since Chip plans to be burried in his.

I guess I am not sure we could still buy gasoline in 40 years. thruth be known my 5 year old always called "I got dibs when Dad dies"

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm ... and yet I seem to remember a couple of Forum members scoffing at someone who suggested only a few months ago that a pristine, unmolested GT could be worth the paltry sum (by comparison) of $500K in about twenty years. (And, shoot! That's only about 3 times "sticker"!):wink

My scientific guess is 20x todays inflation adjusted value.

The best comp is the 1960s Mercedes Gullwing, which actuallly was a retrospective of the LeMans winning SLR, 1600 made; using a sedan engine and some hot parts like mech FI, space frame, etc

They sold new for like $5k and in the 70s for like $10k, in the late 80s bubble $1million and today $500k-2M.

my GT in 40 years all modded out with 60K race miles on the track will be worth at least $5 million........

got mine already listed at $15 Mil, that is without a trailer!

Uhhhhhhhhhhh...where didja find room for the tank? Or wuz yuh only haulin' 2-3 jugs per trip on th' passenger seat? :shrug

The best way to tell value on our GT's in 40 years is to contact Bonys Wife and my Wifes boyfriends and ask them. Bony and I will be with Chip looking down and haunting every move made! TGH

Somebody on the board should do that. That would be the ultimate burial, GT as a coffin...
