Last week Shelby called, knowing that my Dad is a bit of a Ferrari fan :)bored) and asked "Is your Dad interested in an F12?" I asked and he was kind of a "maybe". Since we're sharing this building now as he is a bored retiree, I asked him if he was interested in owning half an F12. And now we share an F12. Shelby quickly sealed the deal and it was done that day. I like to think the V12 and transmission is mine and he owns the luggage bench, seats and cupholder.

This is a very, very serious performance car. It's way too cold to even begin to explore the limits of its performance, but you can tell this engine is immensely powerful and the transmission somehow seems even quicker and more explosive than the 458. I hope they never drop the V12 because the sound this car creates is absolutely stunning. Very smooth as well. It's also beautifully appointed and has CF everywhere. I do think the steering is too fast, but all the new Ferraris seem to be that way. It's just lightning quick and you have to recalibrate your steering input. But man, what a car. I don't think I'll ever be able to get down with the way Ferrari operates, but you simply cannot argue with the cars they are producing right now.

Here it is:

Not a modern-day Ferrari fan, but wow. That is pretty. And you can't argue with the performance. Congratulations to you (and your cupholder-owning Dad;)).

That is a beaut Dave. Congrats to you and your dad. I hope he enjoys the view from the passenger seat ;-)

As I said to you before, the car is without peer. There is no doubt that it's the best car I've ever driven. I hope that you enjoy it for many many many years. I really love it in black (first black one I've seen).

Congratulations Dave! I'm looking forward to a video that tops Chris Harris's. I'm sure there are many of us who would contribute to a tire fund. If you can't wait for spring, trailer it down here and run it around Sebring. You are welcome to stay with us. The track is 68 miles from here. About a half hour drive. :)

Congratulations to you and your dad, that car is beautiful!! Your dad as I recall is a pretty conservative fellow, so how much did you have to lean on the poor guy?? :)

Congrats to you and your "bored" father. Somehow I doubt he is bored, but after being part of the Ford Corp rebuild, anything else is less stressful and challenging. Love the car pics. The motor shot from the front makes it look "very hungry" for anything that crosses its path. The quality looks very good, especially in the shot of the seats.

Pretty amazing ride. Well done.
I hope you and your pops drive the heck out of it, and dont try to keep the odometer under 1000 mi like the Ferrari dealers encourage

Yeah, he's real conservative, as evidenced by the red Ferrari convertible and the red Ducati. Leave it to the FMCC guy to be the car nut right? :biggrin
