Sheesh, on a Navy ship, you're lucky to get 6 hours. And not necessarily continuous. That makes a 6 month cruise feel like, what, 4-1/2 months?

nafod is a Tomcat brother/pilot...and I am sure that he is referring to his cruises being significantly longer than 6 months...so "only" six months would be nice

Mine was 9
months. A friends had 11 month IKE cruise, 8 day in port total.. They lost 35+ % of the crew( flight and ships company) out of the Nav for that one.

Mine were between 7 and 9 months--fortunately.

My longest (7.5) included Australia and the Med...so it was Ok
