And only 50 made?

when I purchased mine I was also told that they made just 50....well...it sounded good when the guy gave me the price for it.......anothe Forum Member claims that he has it from a reliable source that 300 were done......
Based on these things popping up so ofter, I have to believe the 300 number might be correct... (that's about 300K worth of stuff flying around...think about it)

Unfortunately you see this alot with FGT memorabilia. When the yearbooks came out I used to have a sticky up detailing how many there were because as soon as Metro Detroit people that found their way into some of this stuff heard you could blow it out for huge money, they started showing up on eBay "Oh once in a lifetime deal! Super Rare! Must have if own Ford GT (and have a bunch of money I hope to separate you from)!!!" Selling it is no big deal, but it was annoying to see people fibbing about how many there were.

I'll see if I can find out how many of the extrusions were made. I have one but it's really a program guys he's been letting me borrow for a couple years :lol Either way, there are far less of them then there are owners, but it would be nice to know exactly how many there are.

This sounds all to familiar. When I bought my GT I was told only 4038 were produced. I'm now hearing much more than that were built.............................LOL!!!!

Dave,

The gentleman at mayflower posted a while back. they still have the extrusion mold. I believe that he said there were well over 300 made..I keep coming back to 400-500 or them. They are not super rare its just not very common to see them for sale. We have seen the silver ones alot the ones with anodized centers you don't see hardly at all.
