Thanks again to all who weighed in the exhaust system droning issue....it is now apparent that I may just be more sensitive to the drone than most others. I have noticed , as the years race by, a diminished tolerance for the side exhaust note on my Cobra and I have clear memories of TOTAL appreciation of that music not so long ago:frown so I guess it's an issue of learning to accept it (may be a hard sell to my wife!) In the event that I decide to convert back to the stock setup :bored , has anyone had experience in modifying the oem can to suit the bumper delete scenario ? I have a lot of fabrication experience with header and exhaust construction on various projects so I can't see this being a big deal. Having said that, I do not have the stock can in my possession to inspect (pre-surgery) so I will have rely on the forum members to create a visual for me. Anyone?..................:tap:

We sell tips that can be bolted to your stock exhaust that work perfect with the bumper delete. They are the same tips on the BORLA exhaust. Look awesome......

Ha ha.... now THAT'S an offer that's easy to refuse ! I have lots 'o loud stuff around and none of it is the least bit bothersome ( to me at least....not so sure about the neighbors) for the short haul but in regards to the cobra, it's a built BB blue oval on Juice and the last trip of any distance was 3 1/2 hrs on the Hiway ( Freeway for you southern folks) bouncing off the rev-limiter for 2 of those hrs "attempting" to dance with an "M" series Beemer...a lost cause as my Toploader repeatedly ran out of sprockets! Even though I had my ear buds in, I couldn't hear for the next two days! But I see you are Superformance equipped so you are quite likely familiar with this type of story. And Shelby, if you wouldn't mind pm-ing me re the availability of one of the several oem cans you have as well as info on the tips just in case I go that route. Thanks!

That is one benefit of having a five speed in the Superformance. Really nice for freeway cruising too. If yours is an original, I'll suffer through running out of gear though.
