Why does the GT40 seem to spin out so much? Every video I have seen of that car seems to barely be in control and constantly sliding around. It supposedly has less horse power (~450hp) than the 2006 or 2017 GTs (550-650hp) and they don't spin out as easily.

Ya, I know cars spin out while racing but the old GT40s seem to spin excessively and not normal racing. I don't see the GTLM, GTE, etc. backends sliding out at almost every corner like all the videos of the GT40s. Maybe the drivers in these videos just aren't as good as the professionals and don't know how to control their right foot. Maybe also they are intentionally spinning the back tires excessively to impress the videographer and crowds. That's why I asked the question. The 2005-2017 FGTs have more power than the GT40s and they don't slide excessively around the track. Is the GT40 that over powered and hard to drive or is all the spinning tires/sliding intentional?
