Now Im trying to figure out whether to cancel a track day i had setup on the 21st.

Ask yourself this question: "If, due to this pblm, my GT suddenly looses power on the track at a most unwelcome moment, what kind of damage might I expect as a result?"

The answer to your origional question lies in the answer to the latter one.:cheers

I believe your can build a tune that will cancel the purge test and disable the error code, then problem will go away. However you will not be in compliance with OBDII and the smog police!

My guess would be to change

MAX load for Purge test to 0.001
and
MIN load for Purge test to 1.999

Then the purge test should never happen. You might also have to disable the purge test error codes too. I am not sure of the code, but maybe P0456 or 457.

Caution, I never tried this, so discuss if with your tuner more accuarate information.
