I have been working with Alan Eggly, Saleen Paint Dept Mgr. on a way we can get our hands on some paint without making him completely wacko calling him one at a time.:biggrin
Here is what we have worked out. The paint used in the engine compartment is a 2 part formula that was baked on at 200+ degrees. This paint is no longer available. He stated when they needed to touch something up they would have spray cans made up by the local Sherwin Williams Automotive paint store. This color is called Super Silver. Alan put me in touch with Bob at that store (248 680 0579). Bob said he will either mix up a quart can for special order @$97.00 or put it in a spray can for an additional $7.00. He said you will also need to purchase a reducer to mix with the quart cans.
Another option is to call your local Sherwin Willams Automotive paint dealer and give him Bobs phone number and Bob will gladly pass on the custom paint formula.
Hope this helps, Steve
