Eddie FourFather Hill’s 2006 Ford GT Heritage For Sale

Five and a quarter gee early on, and, believe it or not, still over one full gee at 320 mph!

I have heard that the space shuttle's max gee is 3.5.

Cheers,

Eddie

What is the G force in a dragster that does 323 mph in 4.52 sec?

If I remember correctly, it'd be round 4.0 Gs average over the 1/4 mile (I guess it's 1,000 feet now) and a peak of something like 5 or 6 Gs?

Eddie will know for sure.

To me, the really mind-bending part of the acceleration is the 0-272mph in 3.0 seconds. In 660 feet. Ponder that for a bit.

Cheers,

Eddie

Ercie and I loaded our Heritage on the transporter this afternoon, and it is now headed to the new owner.

Great car for someone. If I had sold something had been working on, would have been seriously hot on this

congrats on the sale Eddie. someone got a hell of a car

Congratulations Eddie someone got a great GT that was pampered all its miles and ownership! Enjoy your Red New GT and bring it to Rally 13!

This is the first time I used the pouches behind the seats. They are an excellent place for items like this that I sent along with the car. The dealer principal portfolio, Ford GT brochures, original window sticker, certificate of authenticity, SAE engineering papers about the GT, service records, decals, research and results from forum members concerning the exhaust and Whipple, some signed racing memorabilia, etc. These pouches keep them flat and safe.

I checked all the aluminum body panels for paint film thickness to verify that the car has not had any paint work since it left the factory. "Trust but verify"

Cheers,

Great news Eddie !

Heritage wheels painted Epic Orange to match the Heritage Edition Epic Orange on the car, are available for sale. The new owner elected not to take them with the car, so I am offering them separately, $6,500 for the set, exactly as shown in post #3 of this ad. Although the Hoosier slicks still have sticker remnants on them and neither the wheels nor tires have ever been mounted on this or any other car, the tires are too old now to use for anything besides rim protectors for shipping purposes. I bought the wheels new, in the original manufacturer boxes. I had the tires mounted first, to avoid any chance of cosmetic damage to the finished paint job, that could possibly occur during the mounting of the tires, and then my excellent painter masked the tires to paint the wheels.

Thanks for looking,

Eddie

Eddie do you know the manufacturer for the coating depth Gauge ..good to have.

See post 204. It has a picture of it in the box. I sent it along with the car, in the original Beaspire box, in the front trunk (frunk?).

And I just HAD to throw this pictre in, because of the 4.99 reading! 4.99 E.T. on 4-9-88, first in the fours! And my 2019 Ford GT- K049!

Eddie, I'll be home in Wichita Falls for my Rider HS 40th Reunion next weekend! Like GTdrummer said, try to hang on to the '06 if you can.
I kept my 2005 FGT (it's up to 55k miles) when my 2018 Heritage FGT arrived. They are a wonderful pair. Sold some other stuff instead.
Dave
I’m up to 53k on my 06!

Took a drive a couple of days ago in my GT, Wuhan Flu has everything else closed. From Phoenix to Apache Trail to Tortilla Flat. I stopped at the viewpoint part way overlooking the lake. A fellow in a Porsche stopped in to chat (6 foot distancing), and it turned out he was the young fellow who bought Eddy Hill's '06 Heritage!
The car was back in his home town of Seattle. Pity. Mentioned the autograph with enthusiasm and we had a "fan of GT and of Eddy'' chat, and an exchange of stories. Incredible coincidence of two Owners meeting unplanned in the middle of nowhere. Highlight of my day/week/month of the virus shutdown.
The new caretaker requested an autograph-
