Drive Your GTs

After having been smoked-out/rained-in for 6 months with worst fires/wettest spring in 50 years, I have put 440 miles on the GT last 4 Sundays.

Every drive is still a "sense of occasion" and makes that original $150K investment so worth it after dozen years.

Blew out an old 1/4 tank of fuel and new fresh fill ups.

Saw a Heritage and a black GTX too.

Get em out and drive em.

I know that rock! Great drive along PCH. Really doesn’t get much better, especially in a Ford GT. I’m in South Orange County now but if/when I make it back to Camarillo I’ll be out there for sure! Until then, here’s a couple shots from my past at that same location.





This one was on the other side of the rock, just north of it in the parking area by the water. Snagged it on my commute home circa 2008 when the timing just worked out perfectly. Love those Channel Islands on the horizon.

ironically today I finally got off my butt and lowered the lift to get the boss302 off of it and ended up wiping down the blue gt while the lift was down but didnt get to drive it however I did drive the boss, ill post a vid of the symphony tomorrow.

The triple pipes on that Triumph is epic.

The Mugu Rock is in many iconic Malibu car-pics; seen it in many Shelby Cobra pics and even a De Tomaso Manguasta ad with a bikini babe and a horse (when tide is out) on turnout.

Even in some Rockford Files footage; may breakout my Brown houndstooth blazer next time .

Put on another 220 miles last two weekends; never gets old

FYI - Malibu has an invasion of Monarch Butterflies after wettest spring. They are pollinating so you will get yellow half dollar size splats.

Wipe off with steaming hot towel, when home. Fun times with the GT

WOW, nice, we in Upstate NY still have rain! And, poor roads. (Andy C. does not know we exist). I took mine out the other day and got a mile away, and it poured!

Thanks for sharing. The green Ferrari was built/restored by my friend. It turned out great.

Your friend does immaculate work; the detail / correctness of it were amazing; down to the yellow-cad plating of all the clamps, brackets, fasteners.

There was another Boxer (Red/Blk); but all the hoses, clamps, crackle finish was off; the Green was concourse / FCA Cavallino quality.

dont know of any scenic views here in houston but we do drive our GTs even if it is just to get shawarmas
