ok guys i have a 2005 quicksilver stripe delete i purchased from the guy in lufkin - i bought it as is and am repairing it myself (with a little help from some profesionals) i want to document the rebuild and of course will have
all my receipts from the parts i have purchased, i plan on taking photos of
the project as it evolves and will compile a book to go with the rebuild
i am not cutting any corners and plan on putting the car back as it was the day it left the factory - just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on my
documentation besides what i mentioned above - i have 99% of my parts
now and will be getting started this coming week - any input would
be appreciated - if things go like i hope they will the car should be on the
road this spring

thanks

Video the process also....I just completed the restoration of a 100 year old Farmhouse. Took 3 years... In addition to the complete photo history, I used audio/video(small 8 mm) -I have found that capturing the AUDIO along with the video has been invaluable as I do changes now.

Steve,

Best of luck with your gal. I'm glad you're saving a Quicksilver. If you need any pictures to help with rebuilding her, don't hesitate to ask.

Best Regards,
Waldo

i appreciate all the good luck wishes from everyone and am really looking forward to get started - as requested am attaching a couple of "before" photos - the car has 431 miles on it and is immaculate
inside and everywhere there is no damage - as stated above this site is
worth its weight in gold and i am sure i will have many questions as this progresses

thanks everyone

steve

Are you planning on sticking with the factory color?

yes by all means as i am trying to put car back as day it was built
and the main body does not need painting anyway

What's the history?

Let me guess. Cold tires?

Looks like a fun project. I'll look forward to seeing the progression back to the road.:thumbsup

i do not know the history, the car still has the "broadway ford" plate so i assume it was never registered - i called the dealer and of course i wasnt
suprised but they said due to liability reasons couldnt tell what happened

looks to me like someone looped it for whatever reason and hopped a curb
but i am just guessing

ok, i must admit if i were to just walk in to a dealer ship and outright purchase a car i would have chosen red - but now that i bought this
car at a very good price and it is in my garage and i think there were
only eleven quicksilver stripe delete with the other three options i am
a bit partial to the silver - so there i admitted it !! but i am a silver car
guy now and i understand the silver is the fastest too !! ha ha
