The basis of the scientific theory starts with things like "it seems to me," or "I think that..." You then gather your impirical data and set forth testing to prove or disprove what you thought, logging data all the way down the line. Your subjective theories and thoughts are then confirmed or disavowed by the data you collected and you go on to the next level of decision making. I can't and won't believe any ENGINEER never says "I think" or "it seems to." Very few things in life or in science are absolute.

Yes, Frank, that is how many drug companies do it. The problem is more effort is spent looking for data that fits the theories and the avoidance of tests that contradict the theories. A better non-partial way would be to examine all of the evidence to provide a basis for theories, design tests to both support and disprove the theories and hopefully understand the mechanisms of why it is so. Like a said correlation is not proof of causation! Although the FDA accepts such data.

I want to answer but I can't. I have a cooler but it's not Ford or Cool-tech, it's custom made.

Sorry guys, I didn't take into account that there might be other coolers out there. Why not just answer under the Cool-tech heading. I think we've seen that these two issues are probably not related.

Sometimes you just have to go with what you see in the real world.

"I think there seems to be a problem with the halfshaft bolts."

vs.

"The engineering analysis shows no probable repeatable failure of the halfshaft bolts."

:lol

Kendal is going to love these stats, Cool tech cooler, ZERO failures!

BIMHO, these number are not statistically significant and I still believe there isn't a connection between a trans cooler and clutch failures.

Torrie, I think you are on to something here! How many clutch failures are seen with cars without any engine mods? How about which color cars have more clutch failures? Maybe they are all RED!

Frank another poll?
