What do you think of Pagani then? The Zondas are staying strong in value here in Europe.
I think that Pagani is the greatest hyper car brand at the moment.

The Zonda R and the Cinque are two true master pieces.
Art with a screaming v12. No words...

Depends on what happens when the rubber meets the road. 500 is indeed an awful lot of cars with that price tag, but as TM says, when the F1 was originally selling, the Middle East and Asia were nowhere near the markets they are now. Veyron production isn't far from that number and those can run quite a bit more money.

All I know is I'm happy it exists and I look forward to seeing what it's capable of.

I'm not particularly enamored with the Huayra. Goofy name, a step down in sound, looks from the Zonda. Zonda R sound is unbeatable. You have to respect HP for turning into Pagani into the real deal madman hypercar company.

Kurt, my friend works at Koenigsegg and I am taking the GT to the factory for a coffee asa the snow is gone.
Koenigsegg is a fantastic car, the way the doors open and close is truly amazing. Christian is really down to earth and very cool art creator.

To be honest, I think that they succeded first with the incredible Agera.
That car is what I think the first completed car from them and dear god what a monster.

Hopefully they will take me for a ride and I will let you know how high in dB i w
as screaming.
But I was at Pagani in 2011 and got a guided tour from the God ( Horacio ) himself and have since
then been very touched of how they build the cars. The detail can not be described with words.
You have to see it to belive it.

The Zonda will always be the ultimate Pagani, but the new Huayra is very very fantastic and well engineered.

Maybe we should do a Modena trip together one day...
The best Italians in whole Italy !!!

The story of that car and the passion for the car is amazing. On Mega Factories there was an amazing documentory of the factory which I recorded and looked at a couple of times. I remember when he was taking about the steering wheel. The detail he put in to that ... Unbelievable.
I dont know whether it's the fastet stock car on the planet now or not but it's surely one of them. I'd give up some of my gals for such a car... But not me little FGT:)

0-62 mph under 3 seconds.
0-124 mph under 7 seconds
0-186 mph under 17 seconds

375 Units

Not bad for rwd and 900 hp. That 0-186 is about half the time it takes a Ford GT. They should lower production very slightly. Between 918, F70 and this, that's a lot of $1 mil inventory hitting the market at roughly the same time.

Ahead of our global reveal in just a few days at the 83rd International Geneva Motor Show, we’re ready to reveal the final facts and figures relating to the most technologically advanced and overall fastest production car ever to come from the UK – the phenomenal McLaren P1™.

The race-inspired Instant Power Assist System (IPAS) gives the McLaren P1™ astonishing performance. Zero to 100km/h will take less than 3 seconds, zero to 200 km/h under 7 seconds, and zero to 300 km/h will be achieved in no more than 17 seconds. Putting that into perspective, that’s 5 seconds faster than the legendary McLaren F1 road car.

The tyres fitted to the McLaren P1™ are specially created P Zero Corsas, which have been developed with McLaren’s technology partner, Pirelli. The final compound and construction produces a tyre that is finely tuned specifically to the performance and handling characteristics of the car.

To rein in the power produced by the dual powerplants, the McLaren P1™ is designed to offer braking performance more associated with a GT3 or sports racing car. Developed by McLaren’s Formula 1™ partner Akebono, the system features a new type of carbon ceramic disc, which has previously seen service in space, but never before used on a road car. Stronger than conventional carbon ceramic, the material dissipates heat more effectively, giving the highly efficient braking system exceptional stopping and cooling capability.

Over the past few months we asked potential McLaren P1™ customers about their views on the car’s styling. The unanimous verdict was that they felt it was something to marvel at and were already very excited about it. So unusually, the McLaren P1™ has translated to production form with very little change.

Supply globally will be strictly limited to 375 units, a figure that will ensure the McLaren P1™ will remain a rarity and, if spotted on the road, an unforgettable sight.

We pride ourselves on designing performance cars that owners can use regularly so the McLaren P1™ comes comprehensively equipped as standard with an array of colour and trim alternatives from which the customer will be able to choose as well as visible carbon fibre in the cabin. Indeed the options list is limited only to any further bespoke content that a customer might wish to add through McLaren Special Operations, and fitted luggage.

Finally, one surprising feature is that the car can also be driven solely in electric mode. In city driving, with an average speed of 30 mph, this could mean up to a 20km range, enough for an owner to enter and return from a city centre Zero Emissions Zone.

Please continue to watch out for further news and coverage from the official launch next week at the Geneva Motor Show. If you are coming to the show between the 7th and 17th March, we look forward to seeing you there!

i was ready to drop the deposit on the P1 and all fired up about it at first... just lost the fever...

MP4 prices tanked and just not enamored with Mclaren like i first thought and expected...

maybe it will be one of life's regrets and they will go through the roof and i will kick myself for not buying one like my dealer keeps telling me (he confirmed max build of 300 and states they will be sold out next week so buy NOW NOW NOW hahaha) but at the end of the day there is absolutely no shortage of very cool cars to buy and look at in this day and age not to mention when you have some incredibly cool cars in the stable (how can you beat a TT FGT anyway :biggrin) it is hard to be tempted with these supercars...

Center seating and V12 might have been a completely different story...

i want to see the new enzo and 918 in person before deciding now...

I hate hybrids as performance cars. For cabs & buses it's cool.

I like the GT as a Gulf car. I'm not sure I like the P1 as one.

Was any McLaren ever raced with Gulf livery?

Gulf sponsored a lot of the Can-Am McLaren cars of the late 60's -
