So i had my 2021 NFGT delivered a couple weeks ago ( pics coming soon when i get it back from ppf)and immediately spotted the rear splitter had several blems like you see above on all the blades of the diffuser . It was noted at the time with the delivery specialist. Some of the blems are worse than others but there are about 7 or 8 of these. Some of the sand marks appear to be through the carbon fibers .Ford and multimatic are saying this is normal for this part??? Can anyone tell me if their diffusers are the same? TIA Joe

I would just wet sand and buff them. You could always do a clear coat over them.

I applied the PPF to areas of the diffuser, personally, and I do not remember, seeing sand scratches like that (was 3 years ago, but I also have had the diffuser off several other times since)

Not exactly what I would want to do with a brand new expensive vehicle. But that would solve it.

Some of them "might" wet sand and buff out if it was a gloss carbon part. The diffuser on my car is more matte than gloss and would be difficult for it to be uniform across the entire piece. There are not just those two there are several more also. Some of the scratches appear to be through to the fibers.Anyway just got word Ford is replacing the diffuser under warranty so its all good.Btw u would be shocked at what that diffuser costs lol

I had the exact same issue when my 2019 Carbon Series was delivered. Ford and Multimatic will consider it normal and not warranty it because it is an exposed non visible part of the car. Really frustrated me. I had my car paint corrected before wrapping and had the shop remove my diffuser for my paint correction guy to polish it. After polishing and clear bra on entire diffuser, it looked like it was supposed to. By the way, I also checked other vehicles and it just seemed as though mine was raw carbon and unfinished. Good luck with yours but it can be made to look better.
