Bet he is in the 9s by Christmas. Then he will buy a MoTec and start talking trash about 8s.

Damn Mullet! That's the fastest ET I've ever seen out of a GT!

I remember a thread where a Heffner car went 9.9x on PS2s.

Is the 146 on pump gas or all out Jason?

Wouldn't surprise me on the 9.9 on ps2's

I was using c16 and my Texas Mile tune, so yeah it was balls out.

Mullet - I assume you remain happy with the SPEC clutch in your car? I predict that we may have a small wave of clutch upgrades for the TT guys who keep pushing the limits at the mile events and other track events. I had a great conversation with the factory SPEC clutch rep at SEMA and they really seem to know their stuff (IMO).

Yep, very happy. I definitely beat on mine and it has been holding up well.

Personally I believe when someone does a TT they need to take the stock clutch out right then and put another one in that can take the power/torque

Spec list 4 clutches for the FGT. Which one are owners using?

Thanks for the feedback (and model number), Mullet. That's very helpful and I think the way to go at "clutch time" for the high horsepower guys. For those not running the ultra-high horsepower, I think the stock clutch is remarkable. During the mile runs in Texas, we experienced some slipping from Apollo's clutch but in later sessions, it came back. AlohaGT's clutch seemed to do just fine and that murderous, hot-lapping Skyrex never had an issue in Mohave with 20+ runs over 200MPH! When and if we start to experience anomolies in these cars, I think the SPEC clutch will be the way to go. Again, thanks for the pioneering and the feedback!

I have had a spec clutch since 2006 and over 30,000 miles. Heck back then there were no other clutch options besides stock.
