Frank - yes, it will now be worth some real $$ I suspect. If you bring it to the FGT2010 Rally, I will personally autograph it for you ...make it worth even more!

Jason - early on we tried to buy up a bunch of 5.4L dry sumps...all were sold. But the issue is really more than just an engine. In order for a small company to have a vehicle with any hope of meeting FMVSS, DOT, EMISSION, CARB certifications, you need to start with a '50 state Platform vehicle'. Hence we picked Viper. Otherwise it is about $200Million to design, develop, test, tool and certify (crash, roof crush, emissions etc) a chassis and powertrain from Scratch..
I had talked to Ford Motor Co. about allowing us the rights to 'productionize' the GR-1 which we all love. We wanted to use the chassis, front engine, rear trans layout, aluminum space frame etc and build the DevonGTX on it. It would have said "powered by Ford" on the fender....Then my potential plan was as a second generation, we (DevonMotorWorks) in conjunction with Ford could have built and certified the GR-1 --this shiny aluminum one we all have seen..if we so desired. It was not approved by Ford.
So we did Viper...a true beast of a car and could have been cool.
Doogie...no plans as of now - I figure the wind-down of the GTX will take some weeks and Scott has a lot of other 'non-car' projects... I may just run for Governor of Michigan!.
take care and thanks,
andy (AJB)
Jason..we never wanted to be a 'kit car builder'. The car (as you saw at SEMA ) was to be top-flight quality and fully assembled.
Ed - thanks for the 'vote' !!
