TPraceman, Thats impressive. Is that yours?

I cant imagine how to keep that engine bay cool. I have enough trouble with cooling on mine with the 180 headers.

Not sure why....

Generally, I have found most GT guys love th Pantera, the Mangusta; and the ultra rare AMX/3 (7 exist)

The owner of AMX/3 shown at Pebble in 2006 had all 4 cars.

I for one LOVE the Panteras. A black GT5 is one of the most beautiful cars ever made IMHO, and when you throw in the Ford powertrain, well, it doesn't get any better lol.

The Pantera GT5 poster was right next to the GT40 poster on my wall when I was kid. I had Pantera plastic models too lol.

It would easily be #2 on my list of cars I want to put in my driveway, behind only the GT.

My #2 is a Maserati Bora. I always loved that V8 since the '57 450S.

A few detail shots of my '87 GT5S
I have owned many cars, but nothing compares to my Pantera.

They are the original magnesium campags as fitted to the widebody Pantera, 10x15 front and 13x15 rears, I use Yokohama A008P tyres .

I think I know that car. Built by a guy who owns a body shop up on cave creek if memory serves me correctly. Can't remember his name. Little Italian guy...His dad and brother work there too. In fact I think his dad was the one that did the interior. beautiful work. trying to remember his name...

Great memory...Avo K. was the body shop owner, his dad did the interior. I bought it 90% complete from his shop in Cave Creek. I finished off the motec programming, electrical odds and ends and some paint rework. The intake side of the sean hyland 4.6 motor was tweaked a bit more. The car was perfect. It had over one man year in body prep alone! It was then shown throughout the Southwest on the concours circuit. I loved the car, but it became absolutely nerve racking to transport and keep in show condition. The smallest scratch or superficial blemish would cost dearly to repair to a concours spec. Now very happy to be driving the GT without needing trailers, humidity controlled A/C garages, or crazy priced micro paint polishing. Avo is now retired. Last I heard he was racing 944's.
