Correct Air Filter Elements


I must give Kudos to my Napa management.
They called all their stores in KC and had them open boxes until they found some orange ones.

What I have found, based on packaging and labels, is the orange ones are the older versions and the black are the newer replacements under current production.

Not sure if it's because of age or a manufacturing difference, but I noticed the orange rubber is denser/firmer than the black.
The orange also has less pleats.

I will compare fit this weekend.

The ones i picked up at my napa were orange with the wide grates. Although i did notice that they all were wide grate and orange. Some of the grates ran vertically and some horizontally. Go figure
