Let's see. Up at 4:00 AM Private car from Davos to Zurich. Got on 7:00 AM flight to LCY, Sat there until 7:30 and then was told the flight was canceled and were bused back to the main airport to the transfer center. Got on the 12:05 Swiss flight to Heathrow. That arrived an hour late into Zurich, after boarding we waited on the tarmac for an hour before taking off. Circled LHR for 40 minutes, then landed, waited on runway for 40 minutes as there was no open gait. Left at 4:00 AM Davos got to London Hotel at 5 PM. not bad, 13 hours!
Swiss Airlines Sucks. In the process of writing a nasty letter their President. Oh, and then in Business Class I was served a meal of a triangle of what could best be described and quiche Lorraine with an excess of potato, a side order of saurkraut, some off colored picked meat of unknown origin, lousy chocolate mousse, and of course some of that famous Swiss Brown Bread.
Wonderful day, and I missed a few public places and a lunch with me pal in Mayfair!
But did have an excellent evening, FYI Punch Bowl has an excellent acoustic Irish duo next to the fire and an apparently excellent dining room, sort of picking up for the closure of the Red Lion on Waverton and Charles. if you are in the city in the early evening.
