Gentlemen,
For over 30 years Chris Palmarie has been a good friend and a constant both in my life and behind the bar at every GT party I've ever hosted. He bartended at Riazzi's in Tempe, Arizona for over 30 years and when they closed he worked at Vicino's near my home in Scottsdale. I frequented his restaurant several times a month and our views were pretty parallel so conversation came easy. My entire family thought of him as family. Before every GT function he'd school me on what people would want and go to Costco and a couple different liquor stores with me to buy spirits & supplies. If Chris was tied up when I had something scheduled I'd change the date to make sure he was there.
Everyone who attended my party at Rally 13 or any Rally to the Rally party all the way back to R2 in 2007 has met Chris. Yesterday he suffered a heart attack and could not be resuscitated. Thin & fit, his death was a complete shock. I'm so damn sad. Many of our ranks have chatted with Chris at my bar. He's was a fine and very kind man, a world class bartender, and a decades long friend that I'm really going to miss. Godspeed Chris.

The picture below was taken a couple weeks ago at my R13 party. Chris is standing with Alyssa, his work partner at Vicino's who was sharing bartending duties with him.
