And just a note to anyone that has the Ford Racing Short Shifter kit, the OEM boots tear overtime due to the larger size of the mechanism below the boot that damages the boot over time.

Only if you incorporate the sleeve - without the sleeve installed, it's just fine and does not hurt the boot at all, and the short shifter works great without the sleeve - even looks trim, whereas with the sleeve, it makes the shifter look too fat. Just my opinion.

See guys? There a whole bunch of us new owners that are interested in the mods that some of you did a while ago. I like these changes. Like the hot buttons, they "look right".

The word is it's not bad to ping old topics every once in a while to get some of us newbies alerted. I really spent about two weeks reading old topics to new. There is a lot of old technical info that doesn't get stale but things like pieces and parts upgrades have a lifetime. It is nice to know what things are still available.

Never saw it from the rest of the stuff but thinking of X-pipe. I still don't know hat is available since some are old posts.

I'm wondering, is there an area or new forum for "currently available mods" that could address this? Just from my experience there are things that are old and gone and old and still available.

This one was a good catch!

Now for coil covers and sill plates :)

Cheers,
Tony

Ralphie, any pics of this?

Not right now - I'll try to take some on Monday, as we have ski races over the weekend to attend to.

If anyone else would like to get on the waiting list let me know - we have 5 on the list so far. At this rate we could do another minimum order run in a few weeks.

Boy those pictures remind me of the only, and I mean only thing I hated about the car. The stock boot. So dang unattractive and the feel of it on my wrist was just plain NASTY. :frown

Sorry, just my opinion on that. All my other upgrades were just improvements on things already pretty damn great.

Don't forget, if you are getting this you will probably want to get on the bigger knob list. Because who doesn't want a larger knob? :wink

Anybody experience the shaft sleeve being too long with the short shift kit in place? It seems like the ball won't screw on very far and sits up too high. Any tricks to getting the bezel to stay on - seems to pop after a few shifts. Love the look. Great mod.
