I rented one at Seattle. They didn't have my sub-compact that I reserved and asked if I wanted to upgrade. I told them I take a Shelby for three days if they had one available. They did, it was $240/day unlimited miles. Fun car, and gets almost as much attention as the GT. The stall converter is about an 1800 RPM unit, so it gets off the line pretty good. It sound good doing it as well. I took tit to the Pacific Raceway track for the weekend where I was racing my '66 GT-350. I parked it with four original GT-350's and it got more attention than all the rest of the vintage cars combined. People loved it. And, I must admit, it was the first rental car that I ever washed. I couldn't stand it looking so dusty by the end of the day. When I took it back, they asked how it was and I told them I took it to the track all weeked where I was racing. :biggrin The manager turned pure white. I waited a couple of seconds, and then told him I wasn't racing the Hertz, afterwhich he started breathing again. :lol
