A CF plate instead of that plastic piece would look awesome with your kit..
I'll put down the first order for one of those...
Greetings all
Here's the latest installation.
Car has both the console and door rings.
Cheers

Mine is an early to mid build 05' #448 and looks like the second (CF) pic. 101 what is your build #? A Euro thing?
that is interesting, clearly there are two different consoles,... never knew that.
Here's the story on the tunnel picture posted by "One of 101".
That is a photograph of one of the 3 "Centennial Cars" we built for the Ford Centennial and launch of the GTs. That photo is of the first one we built, belonging to Bill Ford.
There were a lot of prototype parts in that interior.
The one thing that everyone has noticed is the hand brake boot and lack of a bezel. That was one of those parts that we didn't have a production version ready for. I had our trimmer stitch up 3 boots in leather and I fashioned a wire armature to hold it to the tunnel. The aluminum handle wasn't cast yet, so I had the machinists turn 3 for us. So, this isn't a European model or anything like that. It's a special part for the first 3 cars.
Other things that were unique in the first 3 included the seats. They were a totally different surface compared to the production cars. Some of the surface data was misinterpreted and the appearance was really soft. We were still trying to do a feasible silver grommet and didn't have a technical solution, so we turned a ton of aluminum inserts to press into the plastic grommets. Crazy show car stuff... The IP and door trims were not leather either. This was back when we were going to do the surfaces in PVC.
I am not sure how much of this stuff is still in the original three. Some things got updated along the way.
Mr. Kraz... think I know you from 'nother life... you a canuck??:wink
Where are they?
The white one is Bill Ford's. I have no clue where it is physically. It was the first one we built.
The Red car was the second built. The last time I saw it, it was on display in the Saleen Troy showroom.
The Blue car was the third. It was repainted Tungsten the year we introduced that color. I don't know where that one is. Presumably, where we store our old show cars. It was unfortunate that it was repainted. They made such a nice set in red, white and blue. Someone will regret that decision 50 years from now...
Bentley guy as well??:wink
