Car won't start, won't accept jump, ticking sound under hood

Turned car off at gas station.

Went to restart, no go.

Couldn't open doors, dash dark, no lights.

Ticking sound from junction box in trunk; goes off when I insert key.



About to flat bed....Tips appreciated

Check the bolt that attaches the ground cable to the chassis.

Remember last weeks thread, the hour glass ran out of sand my friend....Dont force the issue or you can kiss the gauges goodbye....also clean both cables and lock down the negative cable after you completely clean it......Sounds like the battery....GROUP 25 BATTERY, RED TOP, EXACT REPLACEMENT..good luck gtjoey1314

Update:

Brother pressed his hand against relay box, and ticking sound stopped. Loose or junction connection or relay?

I opened the door and the the alarm horn, Hazard lights flash, dash lights up, and all lights go on

Check engine light came on, as well. Ran OBDII; got no codes.


Does a low battery cause the Check engine light to come on?

Any ideas on that ticking sound?
