Burnout Question

While the GT does not have any problem doing a burn out, and yes it can be done without to much collateral damage, when a person choses to make a post to inquire on the proper technique to do this, I have to imagine that they may not be a "PRO" at burnouts and could likely cause more damage than the fun it would create. Further, I am in the business to resale, and I want everyone to baby their cars so that when I get them, the are in A1 condition! :) LOL

What poster "FUBAR" failed to mention was that he once cut a GT completely in half! (Sorry bud, gotta bust your balls a little... LOL)

Most important thing while burning out...have the steering wheel straight. You'll lose it otherwise.

Tom makes it look easy. At Hennessey's drag strip he did a burning for at least a 1/3 of the track, strait as a arrow!

[Before everybody scares you out of driving your car like a mad man, just keep in mind that we don’t want to see you or the car hurt (in that order). Then ignore the grandmas and go burn the rubber off those goodyears.]

Go have some safe fun. You are replacing the tires anyway.

IMO, better to save the burnouts for Camaro's, Mustangs and Corvettes :biggrin

or cars that you can repair yourself:

There was no need for you to mention that… at all.

Ignore him and go have some fun.

It wasn’t cut in half anyway… more like like ⅔:

Man, seeing the pics of the wreck again just reminds you how quick something can go wrong. Burn outs can be fun as can a lot of other things in these cars. They were made to be fun. I am sure we are all guilty of doing this stuff at some time or another. If you feel comfortable doing a burn out, then by all means, go out and do one. Just find you a safe, open space where there is nothing and no one that can get in your way....

First step is to go to the rental counter...

But seriously if your clutch has a few hot spots on it, does it need to be replaced or can you wait.
