I'm planning for my next GT and modifications I'd like done to it. How many suppliers are making bumper delete kits? Looking for a kit that will be reversible.

Can't speak to the GT Guy kit - first version were not reversible but maybe later kits are. We have sold the kit from Classic Design Concepts which is completely reversible - shipping with new (shorter) frame horns allowing you to keep the OEM frame horns (about $1700 each if memory serves me correctly.) Also, the CDC includes a new, factory-matched black perforated screen without the frame horn notches - allowing you to retain the OEM screen. Here's a quick shot of AlohaGT's butt with the CDC kit and Heffner Bumper-delete exhaust.

CDC here also. Was the only one when I got it, circa 2010.

I have brand new frame rails to use for the bumper delete or to convert back to stock. PM me if your interested. $1700 shipped for the pair. These are e coated black from the factory.

I remember when the prototypes were making the circuit and I was instantly in love.

Then, as production grew near, the bumper was added and I was deeply disappointed.

Thankfully 2 good choices to take it back to how the design was intended. Next to tires, my most important upgrade.

The design of the CDC bumper delete looks very nice.

I prefer the GT guys bumper delete because the screens provide better cooling. The CDC one I found discolored. Camilo the designer also had the GT guys bumper delete on his car. Having had both I would definitely rate the Gt guys bumper delete as the best.

The CDC one I found discolored.

We've probably installed ~60 or so CDC rear bumper delete kits and have never seen nor heard of one discoloring - whatever that means. I suppose there are many ways to botch the install or have a bad or poorly designed exhaust. The CDC kit with Heffner's bumper delete exhaust (as shown on the Heritage, above) is simply a great choice.

The CDC kit comes complete with new, shortened frame horns so the owner can save the original horns if they or a future owner would ever opt to return to stock. Unless the other kit has been updated, your only option is to cut the frame horns - something that is far from reversible. These frame horns have always been uber-expensive and like so many other GT parts, are destined to become unavailable soon. In good conscious, we wouldn't recommend a solution that involved irreversible modifications.

This is the one I like, exhaust in your face! Any more pics? Do the frame horns still need to be modified?
