Would like some feedback from GT owners who have installed Bridgestones as to ideal tire pressure for street use?
Thanks, Marty

I run 28 front, 26 rear unless I expect to go fast. Rears are wearing evenly, if fast, at 2k miles.

That's what I've run based on the Rich's guidance. I beefed them up a little over the parking period.

Asked the same question when I got my Bridgestones and 30 psig was the consensus.

I love the Goodyears & still use them. Hoosiers are the best though in dry states.

:agree:

For cross-country driving, where unexpected rain storms crop up, the Goodyears are still the best rain tire. Not looking for a performance tire on the highways, just the safest one, which means it has to handle all conditions. Best track tire - the Hoosiers. Best road/track combination tire, - Michelin Pilot Sport Cups. End of story.

I've noticed some odd road noise with the Michelins. Has anyone else? Thought it was a bearing. Swiched the Goodyears back on to check.

I've only driven one GT with Michelins on and found the road noise significantly higher than Goodyears or Bridgestones. I put it down to the stiffer sidewalls as it's more of track focused tyre ( or tire ;-)

I don't run Bridgestones, so I've not tested tire pressures with them - sorry. Ask Kevin Roberts (KJRGT) or Dr. Frank (fjpikul)

With my BStones I run 30 fronts and 28-30 rear depending on the temps and driving expectations. Second set of Bs and though my friend Ralphie swears by the Michelins I have yet to give them a try.

When I first put on the Bridgestones, the guy who mounted them had them at 35. Way too high. I've kept them at 32 like the Goodyears, but the center sections are wearing faster then the edges, so I think 32 is too much. When I take the car out this year, I'll run 28-30. They do hold tire pressure very well over the winter with almost no loss.

I bought the M Pilot Sport Cups after consulting with Ralphie and prior to my last session at COTA and they were so much better on the track than my (3rd) set of GY run flats. I can't imagine the sport cups side walls could be stiffer than the run flats as someone wrote here. Also how in the heck can you hear any road noise from either tire? I have a Heffner exhaust and with the Mac off (almost all the time) all I can hear is the sweet music from the engine. FWIW during my 2 track days at COTA absolutely EVERYONE including owners of other marques complimented my GT as the best sounding car out there, especially going down the front straight. I run the PSC's at 30 psi, but that wasn't the question.

I have been running 32 psi and the tread wear seems to be even.

Bridgestones at 30 psi all the way around but run Hoosiers when tracking at 28

Really? How many miles on the rears? They "crown" and wear the centers at 32 all day long.
