Barret Jackson discussion

We are all muscle car guys at heart...and apparently, the Musclecar is still alive and well. Wow. Just saw a Boss 429 go at 450k...and a pair of '69 Z28's with cross ram go for 240k as a pair. Ford stuff..particularly Boss and Shelby..is doing well. There will be a 69 Boss 429 and '69 Boss 302 sold as a set shortly. Damn Mopar E bodies rule. Should be interesting. very cool stuff.

That green cuda that just went off was gorgeous. Im a hugh fan of the 1967-1969 camaro. Those black Boss' were a crazy couple and for 530k it wasnt a terriable deal either. Im not a big fan of Cudas and Challangers but you cant deny how well they do in todays market.

No..that was a decent deal. They were resto-modded...but real cars. 400k for the 429 maybe...130k for the 302. Good stuff.

Aj, All I noticed was they had a different ride height thus making them Resto Mods or did I miss something? That Copo Camaro wasnt a bad deal either.

1 Mill for that hot rod hummer. I was very impressed with the guy giving 250k even not for buying the hummer. It shows you theres still some good guys out there.

What's with that guy at the $600k mark on the 67 vette? Did he want to know who he was bidding against?

Mike,

Don't know for sure, but possibly to see if it was another "big dog collector".

That would be a stratagey to indicate if another collector thought it was worth continuing the bid up process.

That Rouch Black Jack looked good. Said they are going to build 100 of them. Looked like a Boss 429 at first glance.

The guy who bid on the 67 that had his son with him bid on the F88 up to 2 mill 2 years ago now. He also bid on Howard Hughe's car in Florida. He must have one hell of a collection. From what Ive seen on him on Speed's interviews hes extremly cocky. He said in his interview that he kept on hitting the F88 up because he didnt like how the other bidder acted. So I think the guy was trying to save himself 200k lol.

What did the cobra go for?....and how are the Hemi cars performing this year?

Just saw a Boss 429 go at 450k...

Ed Meyer's 69 Boss 429 is expected to fetch 550K or more...

Mixed emotions over on the boss forum right now...lol
